Earlene WinnCanine Fitness

Our dogs are living longer and they are living happier than ever before. Good nutrition, preventive healthcare, and positive reinforcement training have all made a big difference in our dogs’ lives. Canine sports have grown exponentially in the last decade due to the proven benefits of working our dogs’ bodies and their minds well into their senior years.

DogPACT is proud to introduce classes that focus on creating strong bodies that can better avoid injury, whether they are a canine athlete, are recovering from injury, or are retiring from a once-active lifestyle.

DogPACT classes are unique.

Each class is taught by Earlene Winn, the woman who in 2011 pioneered the concept of “Pilates for dogs.” Now called Pup Core Pro™, her work has been featured on KTLA, Home and Family, and K9 Corner for its innovative approach to canine health and fitness. With 10 years in the field, Earlene brings extensive experience to an increasingly popular group class as well as her private consultations. Read more about Earlene ...

Earlene’s multiple certifications in the field afford her the ability to identify your dog’s own limitations and where best to focus specific exercises. Classes flow from warm-up through strengthening exercises to cool-down to guided massage. Each class is specifically tailored for your dog’s fitness level, and the classes are designed for advancement as their skills and conditioning improve.

Pup Core Pro™ for K9 Sports

Special Featured Instructor: Earlene Winn

Dogs who participate in dog sports — agility, flyball, dock jumping, obedience and more — are athletes. Core conditioning is an essential part of our canine athletes’ training program.

Employing the FitPAWS® canine fitness discs and other balance tools, Pup Core Pro™ increases core strength, range of motion, flexibility, and balance among a host of other benefits. We will guide your dog through each exercise, teach you how to use guided massage, and start each class with warm-up and cool-down exercises.

Pup Core Pro™ for K9 Sports and Pup Core Pro™ Puppies & Seniors classes are held every other week to allow the benefits of your home exercises to maximize results over a 3-month period.

Pup Core Pro™ for Puppies and Seniors

Special Featured Instructor: Earlene Winn

Puppies and older dogs have distinct health and fitness needs.

Puppies benefit from exercises that help them know where their bodies are in space (“proprioception”) and how to use both small and large muscles to help avoid injury as they grow and mature. This is especially true for pups who will be participating in the sport of agility. If your pup is between the age of three and 12 months, this class is for you.

As our dogs age, they loose muscle mass and strength, especially in their hind legs. They need help to rebuild muscle, balance, strength, and control. Dogs recovering from injury or surgery also benefit from these core fitness exercises.

Employing the FitPAWS® canine fitness discs and other balance tools, Pup Core Pro™ works every major muscle group in your dog’s body. Using lure-reward training, we will guide your dog through each exercise, teach you how to use guided massage, and start each class with warm-up and cool-down exercises.
